Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your request for information about the Cloister Courts of Mayslake Village. For over 40 years, the Franciscans have lived the vision of affordable housing for seniors and we are glad you have decided to consider residency in the Cloister Courts of Mayslake Village.

While most of the Village is subsidized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Cloister Court units were designed for those seniors who do not need housing financial assistance. There are no entrance or endowment fees. The Cloister Court apartments are all annual rental agreement leases and utility costs are the sole responsibility of the tenants. Seniors over age 55 are accepted regardless of race, creed, or national origin.

The Cloister Courts are located on the East perimeter of our 45 acre campus. The 1 and 2 bedroom units are on one level, while the 3 bedroom unit is a bi-level. All utilities are electric. Please note that you can apply either to the Cloister Courts or to the Village (subsidized) apartments, but not both.

• Floor plans for each unit size.
• An application for Cloister Court apartments.
• Background Request Form which will authorize Mayslake Village to access your Credit Report and Criminal Background history (if applicable).
